Halloween ‘Spooky Edition’ Lino Printing is rated as ‘EASY’ as we will be working from a single matrix/plate at a small scale to create Spooky themed prints/cards. The course will guide you through every step of the way.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Working into a single piece of A7 Linoleum you will create a short edition of A6 sized prints/cards.

During the course you will be closely guided through:

• Finalising designs ready for transfer 

• Block preparation 

• Cutting/Carving 

• Registration

• Inking 

• Pressing/Printing

WHAT DO PARTICIPANTS NEED TO DO BEFOREHAND AND WHATS INCLUDED

The only thing you’ll need to bring with you are a few pre-made sketches of what you’d like to cut out on the day. We will be working into 1, A7 sized piece of linoleum, designing your sketches to this size is recommended. Think about positive and negative space and pattern but don’t overcomplicate your designs, the smallest tool we will be using is 1mm wide, be mindful of this!

Specific preparation to do before the workshop:

• Thumbnail sketched designs of your print  (Specifics emailed on lead up)

• Wear clothes you don’t mind getting ink on

Included with the workshop: 

• Linoleum (sized A6) 

• Sharpies 

• Pens and pencils 

• Gouges (V, U shaped)

• 2 different coloured relief inks. 

• Rollers 

• Printing Presses

• Paper

• COURSE CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULEMENT POLICY

1. Changes made 7 days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 100% refund. 

2. Changes made within 3 - 6 days will incur a 30% fee. 

3. Changes made within 2 days or less will not receive any refund.
